There is a significant body of literature on the presumption of knowledge and it is useful to apply this to the pharmacy profession. One of the important challenges is interlinking pharmacy knowledge to professionalism. We pharmacists have this firm moral  professional identity as we the gatekeepers to drug safety and required to use our expertise responsibly within the healthcare system.
